TRUSTED PEDIATRIC URGENT CARE

When your child is ill, you may feel helpless, but WesTex Urgent Care provides trusted pediatric urgent care services so that you can rest easily. We provide compassionate care while tending to the emotional and physical needs of your child, as we know there is a different skill set involved when treating children. While you should visit the hospital for true medical emergencies, we treat the following:

• Removal of splinters, etc.

• Vomiting & diarrhea

• Lacerations

• Dehydration

• Asthma

• Sinus infections

Research what each facility offers - Some pediatric urgent care facilities have limited resources, which means they will not be able to offer all the care that other facilities do. Give us a call with any questions you have about the services we offer at our pediatric urgent care center. 
 

Check the age range for patients - Pediatric urgent care centers will only provide treatment for infants through age 21, but some stop at 18 years old. Either way, you will want to check the age range for the pediatric urgent care center near you. 

Medical care after-hours - Typically, pediatric urgent care centers are only used after hours unless your child does not have a pediatrician in the area. After-hour care is a way for parents to obtain medical care for their children after primary care physicians go home for the day. 

More affordable - A trip to your local pediatric urgent care center will be cheaper than taking your child to the emergency room. However, if your child is experiencing anything life-threatening you should take them to the emergency room, not a pediatric urgent care center.
